rolex 5513, 1965

hi all,
looking for a bit of advice please.
ive a 1965 rolex sub 5513, serial no, begins 1391,it has a spare set of hands and a spare dial, im guessing before my ownership, the hands and dial where changed, I don't know what the original set up should be, the rear case has an engraving, im looking to sell it, how much do you think its worth.

It will depend on the dial and hands set that you have. If you could upload some photos and share a link other experienced members can help you out!

Put it on an auction site at no reserve. Once it sells you’ll know exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. This is exactly what it’s worth.

As others have said, pricing can vary wildly depending on condition and originality of the watch. For example, a service dial on a 5513 can swing the price anywhere from $6-8k.

If you’re looking for reference on price points, I’d look at dealers first to see what the top end of the market might be. Keep in mind dealer prices normally include anywhere from 20-30% premium. You’ll likely receive less since the dealer needs to make a profit and private buyers generally won’t pay a higher amount from an unknown seller (with some exceptions).

The next source I would look at would be sold listings on forums (like this site). This can give you a decent idea of what private to private sales look like

Regardless, it’s hard to give any decent range without pictures. You can either post it on this thread or ask for help and we can figure it out.
