Rolex 5513 Milsub

I got offered by the auction house that sold the 6263 PN, a 5513 milsub. The price is $180k but after scouring the internet i could not find sufficient info to confirm if the price asked is fair. Here is a picture of the watch.

Stunner! Price isn't fair - they shouldn't cost that much!

Seems a lot for a 5513, but it's a mad world at the moment and how many does a potential buyer have to choose from? Most of these watches are now settled with long-term owners / collections. I've heard some people even have more than one!

Does the case back correctly match the main case?

I suspect it's from the largest 3m case number batch, having that dial.

W10 or 0552 markings?

Not a double ref 5513/5517 ?

Haywood

Yes everything checks out. If it were a 5517 then the price is fair.

Guess the real question is, do you have a spare $180k lying around to spend on the watch? If so, then this may be your one chance to buy a milsub.

The watch looks perfect the patina on the dial insert so nice. I would love to see Haywoods collection his signature is just ... WOW

This happened not too long ago, but is a double ref.

You need to answer Haywood's questions and then you can answer the "should you buy?" yourself.

Whilst I should say yes ... really No , for a watch no service , no provenance , and what looks like two big Chips in the bezel it sounds high.

According to the auction house, the watch has a service quote from Rolex UK. They sent me a picture of the back case below

Well that’s very kind. I really don’t know how to photograph them all but here’s a tray of just some that I snapped a couple of years ago...

...and here’s a closer look at one one them relevant to the thread.

Erpin, this watch seems expensive.

Several versions of the T-dial...

I believe current prices are in the $75-$100,000 GBP range so that would be full market value..
