I an interested in getting a plum color strap. Not sure whether I want in vintage leather, crocodile or calf skin.

May I see yours?

Thanks.

Matt, obviously there are many gradations to the color plum but something like this.

If I am not mistaken, member Nad has one.

I dont want to digress but for those with similar to Matt's comment I suggest they get in touch with their "inner" metrosexuality. hahaha

thanks 100thmonkey!

What strap is this?

I want it to be a more formal strap, so ill prolly ask for it to be slimmer, painted edges, tapered from 24mm to 22mm and same color stitching of strap.

Nice... that's a Toshi, I recognise the stitching on the keepers.

Rich (Toshi) is a great guy - I've had three of his straps so far...

Cheers

It looks like the kind of colour that changes with the light, in that in cloudy or lower light it would be more brown and in sun it is probably more purple?

It's certainly an interesting and different combo that you don't see too many of.

Adrian, yes exactly. That's why I'm looking for a plum color strap specifically. So that it doesn't look maroon/purple/aubergine most of the time.

Chrid, haha good one. For your info, the top bag is a Balenciaga worth about $2,500 (us dollars and the bottom one - brace yourself- is a $10,000 Hermes (yes U$ dollars).
Its the "grail" ladies bag. My wife wants one and soon too haha. Its a cooincidence these bags came up when I did an images.google.com search for "plum leather".

I wonder when Dave in Tokyo (kiwi) will join the discussion. I know he has a lot of straps and more importantly superb taste in straps.

I would like the plum strap to be in calf leather & much thinner in thickness as I plan to have it as a more formal/dress strap. That Toshi is not bad but the leather is rather grainy IMO for the spec I want.

Have you thought of buying your wife the bag and getting a strap made out of the base. I'm sure no one would notice
