I don't have to pick either one. They're both nice to me

Awesome.

Hey an OP with romans isn’t a bad idea.

Sometimes I want an OP 34 or 36

There is something to be said about a simple watch that is a tank

Stick and fluted bezel for me. I'm a traditionalist.

Stick, stick, stick...just think about the lume! Romans are ok for daylight but rubbish at night! Just stating the obvious.

I have the same watch, and I love it. It gets more wrist time than my SS Sub/date, and 39mm white dial OP. Simple and classy.

I’m a stick man regarding the DJ. I don’t like the design of the romans on the DJ. I do however, like the “deconstructed” romans on the Day Date.

I have a TT DJ with sticks. Love it, but also love Roman numerals. In my opinion, it makes the dial a bit more crowded, but not overly so. I especially love the “IIII.” No wrong choice here.

Sticks, thinner the better shows the dial better. No clutter on the dial. Actually vintage sticks are the best very thin and raised up giving a 3d affect. I like it when the minute hand goes over the stick marker covering the stick completely ! Like on my 18078.

I vote stick indices. I've always found the Roman numerals to leave the dial very unbalanced and too weighted to the left side.

Get a 16234 with sticks and small Roman numerals in the minute track. 'Problem' solved :)

Depends what you're looking for. I think the romans are, without question, more formal. On the other hand, sticks (especially when applied with lume) are more sporty. If you're looking to add a DJ for formality, go with romans. If you're looking for one everyday watch, I'd go with sticks.

I had romans on my first DJ and now I have diamonds on my current DJ

The Roman numeral is apparently very popular, but I do prefer just the stick its great on any dial. Roman would be a 2nd choice for me, either way still a beautiful watch

They are perfect on a white dial...pull the trigger.
