What Leather Strap for DJ 36mm or DJ II (41mm)?

What recommendations does anyone have for a leather strap for either of these watches?

I am trying to help a friend find a nice automatic watch with roman numerals and a date and a brown leather band. Its not that easy to find, so I thought one option is to find the right watch and then add the leather band. I'd love to see any pics of a SS DJ with brown leather band.

Here are my mock-ups of an Everest leather strap on a DJ36 and a DJ41. They aren't perfect but give me an idea of what the blue dial and brown leather look like.

I'd be curious as to who likes the leather strap with which watch and why.
