Can someone answer why Rolex keeps production on the white face so low?

Is it to push buyers into PM Daytonas? Any other reason they do this? All other models trickle out in greater quantities, but not this one as of yet.

My guess is they make the same amount of white dials as black dials. Just the white has been more popular with consumers.

Again - just a guess. I know my AD usually receives the same amount of black dials as they do white dials per year.

To keep it rare and desirable maybe?

One AD I know of received 3 white dials and 6 black dials last year as an anecdotal example.

I think they're shipping more blacks from everything I've been able to gather.

Interesting. Must be large market vs. small market. My AD only receives 4 a year anyway.

Ken! Can I be first to know the next time you're thinking of selling one of your watches? ANY of your watches.

The 6538 and 6263 together alone are worth over a million dollars now. So oh well...Live and learn!

Oh and they were all perfect mint 10’s and for those who know me you know!
Indeed my friend you are the president of the club! Your lapel pin is in the mail.

You can say you owned them and that is a privilege FEW share.

I just got my white dial a couple of weeks ago. My AD only received one white to the half dozen black received last year.

I think prices will rise in the UK this year. some dealers were getting 4/5 last year. Rolex have informed Some Authorised Dealers in the UK they may receive 2 a year.
could the waiting lists have just doubled??

They definitely produce more black dials than white and the market quickly reflected that. Before the whole sports shortage last year Black was $16k and white $18k. Every shop I’ve talked to has told me the white ones are harder to come around. Even on this forum, more people have black ones than white.

I guess I should have ordered without preference when I got on the lists. I specifically asked for white only. At that time I thought production of both would be equal. It’s ridiculous since the white dial is the one they marketed in the official ad to build hype.
