I'd trade the BLNR toward the BLRO, but keep the LVc.

No way. Ceramic pepsi colors just ain't got it compared to the original. Too washed out. Get the smurf instead.

Actually the original ones were Bakelite bezels and the color is a spot on match.

i say that every time it comes up and no one makes the connection. Its the aluminum comparison always.

The colors are not wrong. They might not be everyones preference, but its how Rolex wanted them to look.

Well said.

Do people actually think Rolex would release a watch that hasn’t come out as they planned??

To be honest, the steel Pepsi GMT II are nice but the red is very bright for a watch.

The BLRO 116719 looks much more refined the way it is.

DON’T! I own both the LVc and BLNR and would not make that trade.

To go further in comparing both GMTs, I came across one while I was in Munich 3 days ago. I happen to be wearing my BLNR.

My personal views are...
- nothing makes more sense than blue= day / black = night
- WG has a yellowish hue
- BLRO blue is actually purple
- not as versatile as the BLNR
- 99.9% will think you’re wearing a SS anyway

But hey, that’s just my own opinion of course.

A pictures is worth a thousand words!

Not sure it was deliberate. We all know the BLNR bezel starts off blue then they make the black half with a die as the ceramic is still porous.

I suspect they were not able to get that perfect blue as with the BLNR when they died the red bezel on the BLRO - hence the purplish shade.

And that´s an asset for me. I know that it´s WG and not a "normal" Pepsi.
The Rolex aficionado will know it too
But I can follow your opinion of course.

I've had all 3 and the BLRO is the one that stayed. I do think about getting another BLNR but the BLRO is going nowhere.

The colours on the BLRO 116719 are stunning. Blue and red at times, and a lovely purple colour in certain light.

I like the BLRO but I wouldn’t do the trade. I like the green color on the Hulk too much. The BLNR is close enough that I’d make that trade but I’d find something else to go with it. Just not the Hulk.

If they release a SS Coke I think the red will be the same as the BLRO’s red

If you want the BLRO, make the trade, the BLNR and the LVC will be around for years to come in Rolexes catalog. Make a profit on those if you can and get what you like. If you decide you don’t like the BLRO hold off til prices come down on the LV and BLNR and purchase them again at a preowned price.

There’s always a bigger boat and always a nicer/more prestigious watch. Trading two popular SS models for one PM may be even money on paper these days, but it won’t be as different as you think. If it calls to you, go for it. If it’s just upgrading for the sake of upgrading, think it over for a while.

I wouldn't trade out two for the BLRO. But then I was never a Pepsi fan. To my eyes, the BLNR is much much better looking. And it makes sense to boot.

Just tried on the Ceramic Pepsi a few days ago...I don't know, its funny. The red isn't quite red and the blue is quite blue. Hard pass for me.

That’s the beauty of the piece IMO, most will think it’s SS... But I’m a watch geek, I like the fact that no one would know but myself and my fellow Rolex brethren

I wouldn’t. But I could see the temptation. Especially in this market.

I wouldn't.

Tried on the BLRO a while back, made sense to my travel habits and wanted some stealth-gold. Meh though in person, ended up with the Smurf instead (was no question even for a second, on the wrist).

I'd keep the two very distinct and popular steel watches over a BLRO. I wear my plain black steel sub at least as much as the Smurf, gold alone doesn't really outweigh having TWO fun watches instead of just one.
