I think we need more people to reply on this thread echoing everyone else - prices are on the rise.

Apart from a Daytona you used to get a much better price grey than at an AD for any given reference. For PM models still you do much better grey than at an AD unless you are a power buyer. Don't forget the greys are being supplied by the AD's in the first place.

I buy grey only, very straight forward, order today and have it tomorrow delivered at my doorstep. In my experience excellent service. Fully stickered and my name on the card. No waiting list and the market dictates the price as it should be.

That is the great truth. I do not understand how there are people who do not realize it.

No surprise, and actually makes sense.

Prices are UP... as priced in ever-devaluating FIAT currency.

Sounds normal, something of intrinsic value (Rolex) versus something that has no intrinsic value ($ ¥ € Riyal, etc).

Why do you think those with vast wealth invest in rare cars, artwork, rare musician instruments, precious metals, property, etc and not just stay 'invested' in a currency that has never gained in value in the history of the world long-term?

Trend in the U.K. is up in terms of advertised prices. Yes it's taking a long time for these watches to sell, but that indicates to me that sellers are holding their nerve and not accepting offers. Price will continue to go North I suspect.

Prices going up and up here in Germany and Switzerland as well. No coming down from 17K(EUR)

And as I hear, supplied is going to decrease so I’m expecting value will go up

This is true. Even some of the ADs are nice, lot of them really judge you by your look. I dealt with one grey in Indonesia and he’s super nice, and it was my first purchase from him. Het got me DJ 41 WG way below retail. Plus he also offer a buyback option 15% incase I need the cash in the future

Spot on!Every time I have tried to buy from an AD I get the same BS like they're doing me a favour by letting me on the 'waiting list'. I'd rather pay a little bit more and deal with my grey dealer who gives me a great service without all the crap. The last two times, he has brought the watch to me, in person on the same day. Faultless

Zeniths are another breed in themselves, the best 16520 like patrizzi and floating dials will soon rival the Paul Newman’s! If a nice 16520 does not sell most Dealers are raising the raising the price instead of lowering it for a sale. Try that with your house or car or anything else in the world lol

Some resellers and brick and mortar stores selling them for over $20K.
Don't know who is buying, but they probably are selling.

I’ve just been offered a 17 year old 16520 that’s just come back from a RSC service for £26K. My Lord😱

I just bought a N serial 16520, brushed bracelet, inverted 6 white dial. Hour markers and hands have patina to almost light yellow shade. Coming from overseas, general rule of thumb I use is never get rid of a daytona unless it’s for another Daytona. Or if One plans on retiring......who knows where the ceiling is on these things

Wow, okay you take the cake on this one!

Now I don't feel so bad for having sold my 15300 blue dial and Kermit off for peanuts years ago.

I recall all the posts two years ago predicting that the values of 16520s and 116520s would plummet with the release of the 116500. Boy, were they wrong. I, of course, sold my mint 116520 for far less than what they’re going for now.

If you sold all that I wonder what you kept !!! Sometimes you gotta let one go to get another piece. I look at like at least we were lucky enough to own them. I miss my NOS 1655 complete but oh well....
