Dallas for a weekend
My brother and I are meeting in Dallas to watch a Cowboys game. I'd love some recommendations on what part of the city to stay, places to eat and things to do. Its not important for us to be close to the stadium if there are other more fun locations. We are both BBQ and brewery nuts so we plan to partake in lots of that. We will have a car and are considered going to Austin for Franklin BBQ.

The Omni Downtown Dallas is a good place to stay. Arlington is about 30 mins away. Lots of beers in Deep ellum. For bbq I recommend Lockhart but these are just my opinions.

I'll second Hard Eight BBQ. The one in Coppell is close to DFW International. You must try the jalapeno sausage and jalapeno sweet corn.

Last time I partied in Dallas with some friends, were in Deep Ellum. Hard Eight for bbq. If you want uppity stuff then there's always Uptown.
