x2 - After wearing the am/pm dial, the dot just looks sparse to me now. I think the am/pm brings a sense of balance to the entire dial.

I guess I am lucky then, got mine 5 months ago, brand new full set, from a guy who has 50-60 watches, I contacted him after seeing his add for a 335, also brand new, had already sold it but proposed a 233 dot, and the Pam addiction started the day I got it, bought 4 in all but sold my 217, way too big for my tiny wrists.

In any case the AM/PM is great also, the 233 is my favorite along with the 3 MM, 217, 82 and the grail for me, the 36…

So congrats on your great Xmas present

Quick question: is the 233 same height as the 312?

I can't say for sure but I can say from owning a 352 before that the 233 sure seems to wear slimmer or closer to the wrist, if that makes sense.

Well my joy deminished a little today :( I received 4 new straps today and went to change out the original strap and one of the quick release buttons stuck. Now I can't even put back on the original strap as the quick release is stuck down and I can not secure the pin. Hopefully I have no problems with warranty work and I am able to get it out tomorrow and get it back soon. Truley bummed. Never had a problem with my 352 very odd that it left the factory like that, actually pretty disappointing as it looks like I am not the only one that has had this problem.

Quick follow up on my service experience so far with Panerai.

Unfortunately it is not looking so good as the watch was received a week ago Monday and I have not heard a word. So today I called to check status and they stated they sent me a letter via mail stating a new case would cost $3000 as an option but was not necessary. Not sure why they could not call or send this info via email, anyway I am not sure why I would want the option of a new case for a new watch. When I asked them why they would ask such a thing the customer service rep stated he agreed and would look into it for me and follow up via email or phone call.

This is really disappointing as I love the watch and Panerai trying to squeeze 3k out of me for no apparent reason for a defective product of theirs is just tacky business in my opinion.

Very odd indeed that they would even mention a case replacement (but maybe your AD did?)

One week and you called? I'll be sending in my new2me 217 for full service and I don't expect it back this Quarter...

They received it last Monday moring and I called them this Monday afternoon as they hadn't even acknowledged that they had indeed received my $15k watch. I'm kind of crazy like that and like to know that they received it and that it was at least logged into their system.

The AD is in St. Martin so I sent it straight to the service center as I was hoping this would be a fairly easy fix. The case is brand new as the watch had only been in my hand for about 2 weeks. No need for new case unless that is the only way they can fix it, hopefully it is not and I am definitely not paying for their defect.

Yes, of course - you're completely right - I would also feel better knowing where mine is too!

I hope that the fix is quick and that your 233 is back on your wrist in no time - good luck and please continue to keep us posted
