Display pieces being sold at AD's?

It is me, or does it seem like there have been a few threads popping up with AD's selling display pieces? If so, this might be a sign that Rolex is anticipating getting actual inventory into these stores. Wishful thinking perhaps!

I would think if the factory is at maximum capacity, as is said, the only way cases fill up with stock is from a softening of demand. If and when that happens, the need for the Exhibition Program goes away. Demand may be softening, seems like it ought to be.

Dealers have sold "display" pieces since the beginning of time. That is the standard business model.

"Exhibition" pieces are different and, in some cases, do not belong to the Dealership. Many exhibition and traveling-show pieces from Rolex are not fully functional or do not come with any paperwork, they're not for sale no matter how much we want them to be.
