Thank you for your welcome, educated input on this thread. We use masks in my business to prevent inhaling particles that can cause issues. Reusable with replaceable filters and disposable items. That they can also prevent the expulsion of potential contaminants is a plus. I see no downside to wearing them in any situation providing they are worn correctly, changed regularly and disposed of safely. They can only add a positive to the social distancing and isolation requirements that we are all facing. We are thinking you all in the USA while you take control of this virus. All the best from Oz.

That is amazing, how quick they went from an idea on paper to manufacturing its first model. F1 engineers are incredible

the Coronavirus outbreak thread
Quote:
It wasn’t the best representation of Social distancing. From the pics I saw online: Battery Park was crowded along the railings; perhaps hundreds per the pics - and W 51st St/12th Av near Pier 90 had maybe 50 crowded together for a glimpse. For us to see the pics of the people taking pics means some (many?) were photojournalists looking for the opportunity to put a slant on the passers-by. The others likely live streamed it or updated FB as if they being there was somehow newsworthy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Has anyone noticed that the reduced air travel means quieter skies overhead?

Dolphins have even been spotted in the canals of Venice which hasn't happened in a very long time due to all of the boats and sediment from the bottom being kicked up. |

I have a question for you to consider. I really don’t have a strong opinion one way or the other.
Sweden is not shutting down like most developed countries. They are encouraging hygiene and social distancing, but not mandating it. They have a Covid-19 problem (180 deaths in a population of ten million) but it is not as bad as some. The US just added 20k new cases and over 500 deaths each of the last couple of days. Question- if the US doesn’t see a significant improvement, should we imitate Sweden’s policy? |
