The 79220 models and their oyster bracelets perhaps were too similar to historic Rolex models.
Both of the issues you've listed are big issues for me regarding the current Tudor line up. Especially the riveted bracelets, that is why I like the Pelagos 39 as the bracelet and case size seem just right.

Wow, that looks really good. I really like the look on the 5-link bracelet. Congratulations!

Congratulations. I got to handle one at my AD and it is different than the previous model.

Agreed. Tudor, before this, always missed the mark for me. Many references are too thick, and, oddly, my former BB58 felt to insubstantial. This one really hits the mark for me.

This new model seems shinier than before - I’m wondering if Tudor have upgraded the steel from (I think) 316L…

Big congrats, it's a super-handsome watch. I like the changes, especially the METAS certification. I have the 2012 BB burgundy-bezel watch. It is rugged, accurate, and unique, and it has served me well over the last 11 years. I could see picking up the new edition; I can't get enough burgundy, lol. Enjoy your new watch, it's a beauty!

So I tried it on and yes it’s definitely thinner and the lugs shorter and slimmer (big plus) what I didn’t like is that the dial is 1mm smaller and the bezel is slightly bigger and overhangs the case.

The inner ring/rehaut between the dial and case is much more pronounced and being at an angle instead of straight down.

I kind of think I’d go for a 79220 (thinner than this new one) variant on the oyster bracelet instead…

One came up on eBay and I was surprised it went for £500 less than retail…already being discounted!
