Trashed beauty - a 1976 Tudor Ran___ II with a Tropical dial
I wanted to post my most recent find. I have been wanting one for years and they always fell through. It arrived from the Philippines with all its tropical touched up defects and a cracked movement. 2 months, a new eta 2784, and some black paint....here she is! I know this isn't tropical in the true sense. But clearly lots of sweat, humidity and sea salt took its toll. I think it's a beauty. It's right next to my mint dialled 7021/0 as contrast. I swim with the 7021, but I don't think the 9111/0 has a good enough crown on it. I am going to hunt down a better dial. With a great deal of patience and low expectations.
