What some guy who's in LA will pay ya for it.

The rest of the country, probly not so much.

Sports memorabilia is "played out" to a saturated market IMO.

If you're at an auction how much would you pay for it to hold on to it until HOF induction?

Nothing.

It's not like it's Tom Brady's SB jersey.

I'm more curious to know what you may think it's worth?

Personally speaking, I'd rather apply my money and/or resources towards a good 'Kobe/Wagyu' steak. Just saying.

It sold for $1500! I can't believe these people bidding up so much. Definitely not worth that much for me.

$1,500 it's not like they made 1 of those..

Anyway, I'm sure guys like Kobe sign until their hand cramps, so signatures are pretty worthless IMHO.

I met a guy one that ran Wayne Gretzky's signing operation out here in Phoenix, I was in their warehouse and there must have been 1,500 pucks all spread out on tables awaiting the great one. He'd just go done the line and sign them all and he was do to be there for a week signing pucks, sticks, jersey's, etc.

Rule of thumb: If it's produced to be collectible, then it's almost certainly won't be.

If it's unique and personal, then you may have something.

The signed card sells for $100-125, the rest is just for show. Nice display-not worth $1500 though. Been buying/selling sports cards and autographs since '88. Market is minimal for huge oversized framed pieces-takes up way too much room.

I'd place more value on a Rolex case with band, missing the movement.

Nearly having to ask "Who is K.B." is a giveaway. He had a sex scandal, falsely accused? And plays basketball?

The whole "sports value" thing is a farce. What would Ben Franklin say if you tried to describe to him the motives behind "professional" sports ...

Yes, I agree. Everything at this auction went over priced. Hence, my wife and I walked away with only some food and drinks

Imagine, they even had rolexes, diamonds, jewelry, etc... but I'm not even going to mention how overpriced they went. I guess people were hungry to buy stuff by bidding without using common sense for value.
