I could see that a Tupac fan might want to own a car that had been owned by Tupac but this wasn't his car, right? So the only attraction is that he was shot whilst riding in it.
That's a bit sick, and $1.5M ? Seriously?

People collect all sorts of morbid memorabilia. Tupac has a strong following and his murder is viewed as a significant historical event to many. I can see someone in the hip hop industry needing to have this in their garage.

While Tupac was truly a gift to so many people the legacy has slowed down over the years. Even Death Row merchandise has dwindled with bulk sales out the back door (storage sell offs).

This would not be a purchase that I would entertain given the nature however I feel a lot of potential buyers would feel that the timing has passed.

Truly a sad day for the music industry, family and friends.

It would have been able to fetch much more close to the 7th year mark of his death.

There was much speculation regarding the number 7 and 2Pac. While I'm a huge fan of many of his songs, this isn't something I'd waste my money on.

I was in Vegas the weekend that the shooting happened. I remember the reaction was surprisingly muted, though the lack of Twitter, Facebook and smartphones meant a lot of people only heard about it from friends who called them. And that's if they had a cell phone (not everyone carried one in 1996).

As for $1.5M? I think that's a pipe dream, but who knows if there's someone in the upper quarter of the 1% that was/is a Tupac fan, and could throw down that kind of money without any lifestyle changes needed.

This would be perfect in someone's garage, right next to the yellow with red leather Lamborghini Diablo that a dead rapper in Florida had his embalmed corpse posed in the driver's seat during his wake.

No, I did not make that up. You can Google it.

Mon used to have a 'two-pack' but now it's more of a 'one-pack'.

Maybe they will put it in a museum like the original gangsta's Bonnie & Clyde's bullet riddled car and charge people to see it.

That intersection right behind Bally's is still a crack den. I would walk near that corner and I drive through it to get to UNLV games and run the red light if I have too. Literally not even 1/3 mile east of the strip. If you want good eats there's a place called Ellis Island just south of the intersection. Go for lunch though
