I wanted to love the SDc and keep it as my tool watch. But the greatest issue for me was the dome underneath. So didn't give it a flush fit on my wrist.

Were as the 5167A was perfect fit and once I had fine tuned the rubber strap it sits perfectly on my wrist.

So I know this has been asked before but I must ask again. Mostly because I didn't see it posted. Lol. If I buy the bracelet version can I easily change it back and forth with a rubber strap? In other words is the case able and designed to have either the bracelet or the rubber strap? I thought I heard that you could not do it on the older versions but what about the newest versions? Thanks!

Removing and replacing the bracelet or strap is a bit tricky for me but I did it myself. Rubber strap has 2 pins at the end that doesn't lend to the ease of removal and replacement as they need to align while pushing both sides of the spring bar all at the same time.

Does anyone know where to get a rubber bracelet and deployment clasp for the 5167?

I already had my 5167A on a rubber strap. So when I decided to also get the bracelet, I had to order it through my dealer.

On some older versions of the 5167 bracelet and strap are not interchangeable. On current versions it´s not a problem.

I figured I just was hoping someone might know a better place. When I googled it and I saw there was one for sale here last year. I'll keep looking. I get my 5167 next Friday. That's going to be a great day.

Also how does the width and thickness of the bracelet compare to that of a submariner?

Coolest watch to own, very comfortable, stealthy versatile etc .

This watch could easily be grail worthy in the future.

Love mine. My everyday watch, discreet, comfortable and a watch for connoisseurs.
I ordered to my AD the Rubber strap with the deployant buckle, so I can swap them.

Compared to a Speedy or a Sub, the 5167a/1a wears more thinly. If has a flatter look and feel.

Your choice but I really think getting the bracelet version is a waste of your money as most of the time it will be like it was intended and on the rubber, it is made for it and looks so much nicer, of course if you don't like rubber get the bracelet, but it looks so much nicer and is so comfortable on it

Pics????

I've had 5164, and 5167 on bracelet and rubber... By far my favorite is the 5167 on rubber. Very comfortable, and versatile. Prefer the date window to the 5164 layout. Just looks"right" to me on the rubber vs the bracelet.

I had one a few years back and ended up flipping it as my Rolexes just got more wrist time. It's a supremely comfortable watch, but i really prefer having more weight on my wrist and something with more wrist presence - all told, you can't go wrong if you like the watch.

I will say that having seen it on the green rubber strap has me thinking about getting another one - really looks great on the green!

The 5167 is a great piece, and the price is great as well! ;-)

I have a client that has a huge collection of Pateks but the 5167 is his favorite to travel with since, as he says, it is "under the radar" and he can wear it in the water as well.

I heard the bracelet cannot be purchase separately, an order by Patek, is there any truth to this?

That's good to know.

I heard from ADs in Singapore and in Hong Kong not allowing a separate purchase of the bracelet, citing Patek Philippe mangement policy.
The watch has to be 5167A and remains so.

There was a period of 2-3 during early production that the case and bracelet were made to be like the Nautilus – you either bought it on the rubber strap or the bracelet.
At some point, common sense prevailed (probably overstock of the bracelet model?), and they decided it’d be a better idea to make the case such that the strap and bracelet were interchangeable.
If you acquire an early production version and want the bracelet, it has to be sent to Switzerland for them to find one or modify the endlinks so that it fits properly – I believe the price is no different, except you’d be without your watch for a while.
