Bas, it looks like you're doing great in school! The friend of a friend here in Oklahoma started watchmaking school last month. I had no idea we even had such a school, but apparently we do. Hope it's going well for you.

And thanks, guys, for the birthday wishes. I am 51 now and that seems really weird! I guess I'll get used to it.

Nighty-night!

Hey Girl!!! Eh, age is a state of mind isn't it?! Those lovely daughters of yours will keep you young Speaking of daughters, mine is definitely keeping me busy.....and I love it. She's just heaven

Lisa, you sound busy too with 3 major projects on the go. Any general idea when the car will be complete? 51...dont worry about it! You look young. I told you that last year when you turned 50. Us old gals are aging V E R Y slowly.

Great news, Judy! I can imagine your relief!

Baby is growing sooo fast...wish I could slow time down! Don't want to miss a thing.

Karis, glad to hear your "bundle of joy" is keeping you busy and I know you are a terrific Mom to boot. Enjoy these days as they do grow up pretty fast...but I bet she has a smile that just melts your heart!!!

Lisa, glad to hear you are staying busy...what are you doing to be of assistance at your daughter's high school. I wish we could grow Tulips but with the woods so close to our home...the Deer come out of the woods and eat the flowers!!!

Judy, glad to hear the "EX" has signed the papers so you're now free and clear of him. As for bling, what are you looking to buy yourself to celebrate being rid of that excess hassle and weight???

Wes, how about a song on yer piano to celebrate Lisa's and my birthday last week!!!
How's your car running these days???

Carl, great to see you have come back to the fold...how's life treating you these days and your job...still enjoying it???

Bas, how's school going these days???

Greg, how's life treating you these days and how is your health issues doing???

And I agree with Ed, we have this CS...so why is another one needed!!!

Leo...I've been eyeing some diamonds lately & getting some ideas on how to repurpose the ones I have. Going to focus on my diamond/ gem stone bling instead of watches. I know, CRAZY TALK!!

I'm sticking around this coffee shop. :-)

A retired lawyer, Judy. And I did not practice that kind of law. Besides there really isn't anything to split between them. The apartment here is in her name alone. Her car is in her name and his car is in his name and there really are no other assets.

Ed you are lucky you got to practice. I don't get to practice. I either do or don't, and if I don't a lawyer comes along and practices on me.

Ed.... even retired, you have some insight in to the law. Legalese isn't my kind of language & I never want to ever be in the position to learn it again. Your daughters case looks like a paperwork technicality, pretty simple. Tell her it feels LIBERATING. Can you tell Im ecstatic?!

Art, go to the beach & grab a handful of sand. Then spread your fingers. Thats what your money ends up doing when you pay a lawyer. No disrespect to the lawyers here. I tell my BFF all the time, in my next life I'm coming back as a lawyer.

It is simple, Judy. I think she's just procrastinating. Why, I don't know.

That's rough but probably well deserved. It's also an area of the law where the client isn't happy at the beginning / middle / end of case.

Thats certainly true. The longer it gets dragged out though, the happier you are at the end of the case to just end the madness. I can describe it as a surreal calm I haven't had for a very long time. :-) Life moves on. It can only get better now. ;-)

And me too...this CS was where I was welcomed first...and no offense to anyone else(as surely this Forum can handle more than one Coffee Shop...Hey maybe we can Franchise them!!!)but I'm here to stay!!!

I'll wait a bit, we aren't living together yet so I'd like us to have a better routine as a couple and a less hectic lifestyle before I do it.

Leo, I did buy my Amethyst back in February & haven't gotten it set yet so thats for sure on my radar. I've been checking umpteen threads for tennis bracelets. I know what I want, just trying to fine tune the details. And then repurposing a couple of stones for some studs. All these blingy projects will keep me busy for a while. Plus, I'm going to help my brother buy a couple diamonds for his wife. I know a bit about them. I want to make sure my brother gets the best he can for his budget so I'm going to be researching his purchase too. Whew...no time for watch shopping. I'm glad I stopped myself with the watches. I was getting too nutty. :-)

Karis, I bet she does.

Well, had my fracture clinic appt today & didnt get the best news. The orthopaedic surgeon said that my ligament tear is still not healed & was able to bend my left thumb away from hand by about 30%.. He said that at this stage he wanted to try a fibreglass cast for 6 wks! I almost would have just had the surgery then I would know that in those 6 weeks I would be healing. I thought I was healing these last 4 mths! I'm frustrated. He wants to see if a better fit cast would heal it. Then, if in 6 weeks it still hasn't healed, then I'm having surgery. I wont be wearing any watches for a while.

Yes, they do really change your life and priorities...we have one grown son(will be turning 30 this year)and I really do believe that my finest moments was being his Dad. I was a stay at home Dad(due to being on disability due to RA)and had the fortune of raising him. From seeing him off to school, making his lunch and being their for him when he would come home in the afternoon. I will always remember with the picture embedded in my mind of seeing his Mom, Pam, holding him in the hospital as a newborn!!!
