This guy on EBay is splitting up a full set 1680 Red Sub

While browsing EBay I saw this 1680 Red sub that looks nice with papers for a decent price (punched cert & head only) so sent the guy a message with these ? Where's the bracelet with a history like he described in his ad of the watch seems it would have a bracelet,& what other accessories are there like box or tags etc, seems strange you'd only have a punched cert left after all these years.

His message back was it has a 9315 bracelet with 380 end links ,box & misc accessories, but he's gonna sell them all separately so he can make more money.

Probably not a good sign & a shame to split up a full set if it's all original stuff that came with the watch

He actually might get more keeping the set together with all the bits and pieces.

Not sure I've ever seen patina quite that vibrantly yellow before. I'm not suggesting it's been altered, because it's still got that authentic tritium texture. But man, that is some serious patina!

The color has been altered with a photo shop program to enhance its brilliance.

That steel bezel ring looks odd...or is that photo shop too?

Oh, that's the ever elusive and ultra-rare Urine Dial. I wonder if he'll sell this dial separately?

not uncommon to see very yellow MKIV red sub dials, that is of no concern to me

the one thing that is a shame is the over polished top crown guard

Couple of pics from listing saved, for ref. Dial patina looks fine to my eye, and I'd venture the hands have been re-lumed.

Crown-guards were often uneven from the factory in the 60s/70s. Just sayin'...

Whats weird is that watch sold once already a couple weeks ago for $15,500 then got relisted last week & sold again this week for $15,000 & this watch is the same guy selling another Red Sub same story watch with cert but nothing else,i followed this one also & it sold once 2 weeks ago for $10k & he just resisted today.Sounds like some shill bidding or buyers remorse after receiving them.
