5131r

Hi,

I am really getting fascinated by PP after having my first one;)
I was wondering if its possible for a relative new customer of the brand to get hold of a 5131 R at MSRP?
Whats the procedure?Which dealers do get these pieces?I heard not every dealer gets them seemingly.
Grts,
R

Absolutely....might be different in USA and Far East but certainly in Uk and Europe just pop into your AD and put your name down. One member who didn't own any PP got his in 8 years and another member is still on the list since 2009. However some waited only as long as 18 months so it's anyone's guess

Possible is the key term. Very difficult considering we must be nearly through the allocations for rose gold no?

I was lucky as it was my first Patek, waited 8 years and my patience was rewarded by my local AD and PP.

8 years? The watch is gorgeous, but I've have taken my money elsewhere years ago.

You've been a member here a long time so hope you get one.

Not worth it to me personally...BUT, if you really want just grab on secondary. Cost more but whatever.

Know 2 people who bought in the past 30 days--not hard to come by if you want it (above sticker).

Both bought 'used' from AD...both less than 8 months old on papers. Hmmm.

MSRP - no.

If you had, you'd still be waiting.

Considering your purchase history I think Jamie will come good on his promise albeit 4 days to go

Guess that's the crux of it. Each of us attach different value points and what we prepared to pay for objects we desire! It makes the 5975 look like a bargain!

At least you have your 5131G to enjoy while you wait for your 5131R

I am sure you will receive your allocation very soon. The UK Patek MD knows you and your Patek collection and he will certainly make sure you will get your watch.

I visited Taipei 101 Patek AD. It is consider one of largest AD in the world. I view 5270 blue dial, 5270R and 5271P. Unfortunately, It doesn't have 5270 white dual. I prefer 5271P after seeing these watches. Nice black dial.

Congrats you visited the Taipei AD...you were so dead against venturing in their for a long time. I saw a blue dial a week ago and it's very beautiful. Doubt if it's still around.

I visited two AD in Taipei. They all have blue dia, but no white dial. I hope I can see a white dial.

It is a long story to say about Taiwanese AD and MD with my poor English. This is my first visit during last 6 years. Taipei 101 AD is a Singapore company. It is more friendly than other ADs in Taipei. Anyway, I am here to discuss with 5131R, not to criticize AD in Taiwan. I am looking for the bright future, not unhappy past history. It is because I protested many times with the service and over price. I think every AD knows me in Taiwan. Now most Taiwan AD will not sell over price in formal AD.

It's a great watch and worth waiting for. Mine is the jewel of my collection and a piece I can get lost in. Could be untrue, but I've heard contact with the Stern family helps. Do you have any way to get in touch or at least send a letter?

I don't know if you are familiar with pp5755's existing collection, but he already has a 5131G and many rare application pieces. The managing director of Patek UK, who allocates application pieces to UK ADs and their clients, knows pp5755 well, so I don't think a letter to the Stern family is necessary as it is probably a simple matter of distribution timing at this stage.

Shh. It's a two part plan. Once he drafted the letter, I was going to ask him to through my name on it too!

You are right. I just have to be patient to wait. 5131R is a very beautiful watch that I always dream to have it asap.

The 5131G brother is waiting for 5131R to have a big party.
