15500St Retail at AD, is it possible?

Without history at a specific boutique but showing the, you are a collector of watches like Rolex and desire transitioning into the brand, is it possible to get this at retail “starting a new relationship”? I want a black or blue dial

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions on any specific boutiques.

I want to transition into AP and acquire multiple pieces but I want to start with this

It’s possible but you will need more than a little good luck. you will have people here tell you they did it and you will have far more people telling you its not.

You can try your luck or you can make your own luck by buying some of the less hard to get APs (as you say you want to transition to the brand) first and build the relationship to get a 15500st and then a 15202st and so on...

Why the rush? The journey is more fun...

I got lucky. Best tip, whatever day Boston boutique opens in the near future, be there in the morning.

Keep in mind, lots of Rolex people transitioning into AP these days.

Recommend NYC boutique, recommend staying away from Blue dial. Good luck!

Everyone’s experience is a bit different, some reported getting 15407st as their one and only ap some couldn’t get their hands on any RO models.

My piece of advice is; be genuine reach out to ap owned boutique and tell them what you need.

It took me 7mths with no previous history at the AP Boutique in Madrid, granted this was in 2019. Good luck!

Wait for non blue is around a year and blue is multiple years.

Being a collector of Rolex will have no bearing in getting an AP.

I would say no, especially in a later city. I was told in LA no royal oaks the rest of the year.

Maybe you can get moved up the list by bundling a code or female AP.

I mean no disrespect to OP, but why do these threads keep popping up?

If you have to ask this question, the answer always, always is: "You need to build a relationship to get what you want, or you go grey."

That's it. Plain and simple.

Don't bet on luck.

Visit a boutique in person and befriend a SA. Be authentic with them and show your interest in the watch to add to your collection. It took me 3-3.5 weeks to get my 15500

Very possible, I’m an example myself. Go in with a friendly face and talk watches

Don’t listen to the others, basically they are speaking at best from their own personal experience and at worst from what their confirmation bias is telling them. AP boutiques are different and not operating on the basis of patek or Rolex ADs in this matter. If you love the brand and know a bit of its history, show passion and desire to be part of the family you will get your timepiece sooner than you have been quoted. AP under promises and over deliver.

Good luck op

There were a bunch of codes in the beverly hills boutique hah. The skeleton tourbillon looks pretty awesome I must admit.

I think blue would be very hard without history.
