Silver SNOOOOOPY!

Not an incoming, but was just curious does anyone have any idea how the allocation wil work on this model? I hear some AD's will get 5 and other ADs will be getting 1000.

Unlike Rolex, I feel the SA's are a bit more transparent... Anyone got any insight?

I don’t think anyone knows. If you’re interested, your best bet is to speak with an OB. They will be getting it before any ADs.

No AD is getting 1000 pieces. The rumor is the US is getting 1000 pieces the first year. Someone counted up the OB’s in the US and there were about 30 in total. The guess is on average each OB would be getting 30 or so pieces the first year which would suck up most of the 1000 piece allocation for the US.

Actually a more realistic estimate is less than 500 pieces during the first year for the US market.
Large OBs are getting 20 pieces. Smaller OB will have less than 10. Selected ADs are expecting 2-5 pieces.

I'm sure they'll do a slow rollout to make them look scarce

Unless you work for Omega and have the inside word, it has to be more. Omega would be STUPID to not cash in on this and make as many as they can. And it's my guess that # (as many as they can) may not meet demand.

We are seeing companies be “stupid” all over the place. Rolex could sell multiple times the amount of steel, if they wanted. Patek could sell multiple X’s, same with AP. If you are trying to control production to increase exclusivity, units sold is not the driving concern.

Omega has to start somewhere if they are trying to level up, so to speak, and this is the watch to start with. (Along with the 321, IMO).
