Good decision. That was a lot. You have a great collection. Others will come.

No. I'm biased because I've been wearing the DSSD JC a lot lately, but I prefer that watch alone to any modern GMT with a ceramic bezel (let alone that watch plus two others).

No chance, I would give up 2 of them with cash for a PM but not 3

I'd definitely trade, pm watch is on a such a different level
I've owned DSSD, Hulk, Batman, SD43 and none feel special in any way to me but as soon as I got a Day Date I actually love my watch for the first time!

I am sure many nay sayers never experienced owning a PM Rolex and are only echoing the SS craze.

I have PM watches and no way I would have traded off such great watches for one. Zero chance but the OP has figured it out...

Hulk - $15k trade deal with gray
Bluesy - $12k trade value
JC DSSD - $12-13k trade value

Total - $39-$40k. In terms of money trading those 3 for a blue or black dial WG GMT its about right. If your getting a Meteorite dial you are winning BIGTIME in terms of $$$ value I would say. Those are selling for crazy prices $50k+.

To be honest its just a monetary transaction. If you want it just treat it as a business transaction and in terms of $$$ its a fair deal in current prices for a NIB WG GMT. Dont think if it as a 3 watch for 1 deal because everyone will get get frightened once thats mentioned.

You were close.
HULK - $14k
116613 - $12k
116660 - $11.5k

I thought the Hulk and JC were a little light.

Folks knocked some sense into me. It is too many watches that I wear for one I know I would love. I guess maybe this would be different if I didn't wear all of them but I honestly do. Basically rotate one per week and rotate through the 4 of them (Sub date black dial)

I am just going to wait until I have the "extra" cash and just buy.

hahaha - I knew I was going to be close I work with gray dealers weekly and one of my very close friends is a jeweller and dab in watches as well. I keep up with trade prices. I think you could squeeze a little more for the JC.

The problem with waiting is that now gold is super hot. That WG GMT was selling for low 30s not long ago. I think these days gold has overtaken SS in terms of hype and how much they are appreciating whilst pieces like the Hulk are already coming down from their peak since discontinuation. (was trading as high as $27k. Now asking prices are like $18k and actually selling for $16.5 - $17k for new pieces so your gray dealer offer of $14k sounds spot on for second hand used).

So if you wait it will mean the gap or $$ you will need to stomp up later will most likely be significantly more as gold gets hyped and your Bluesy/Hulk settle in price.

Sound decision, OP. There is no way I would do that trade either and I'm not even a fan of the Hulk and DSSD JC!

No. Way too much on your end. I'm not a bluesy fan but the other 2 are solid pieces and not worth that deal especially if they are getting wrist time.

I agree. And, this is coming from a former owner of a WG BLRO. Yeah, it's a great watch, but no way is it ever going to fill the void of those three watches.

I think you'd be money ahead to just add the SS version, IMO.

I completely agree , nice pic btw.
I had the chance to get the WG BLRO , but waited and got the SS.
I have 6.5 inch wrist and the WG was too heavy for me

Id dump the bluesy and the hulk to get the WG GMT. PM GMT is amazing and you'd still have the iconic sub and the tour de force Deepsea... or dump the basic sub and bluesy keep the hulk and deepsea… then you keep a sunburst dial sub and again.. the JC. That's just me tho… also depends what watches if any have sentimental value

Hulk and bluesy should do it. You
Can find great examples of the 116719 preowned for low 30s.
If it was me, sell the bluesy and JC and add a few thousand out of pocket. DO NOT SELL THE HULK

Frankly, add up your costs and make a decision based on the value of both. It's a pain to have to sell privately so consider that before counting on the inflated value of the watches. I know you've made a decision but it seems to be pretty much based on a SS pov and not on a PM pov. Your watches and your call!!!

Nope. Keep the LV and the Bluesy. Flip the DSSD and Sub Date. You've got the sub date covered with the LV and Bluesy. But thats me - I love colors. Between the DSSD and Sub Date - you might have to add 10k to get the BLRO.

I also have the DSSD JC and LVc. I was recently offered the WG BLRO which I really like. I declined. The DSSD JC gets all of the wrist time. I'm sure the LVc will work it's way into the rotation soon. My reasoning was If the LVc can't displace the Deep Sea, I'm not sure the BLRO would either.

Same. I haven't been able to figure out why I love and wear this watch so much, but I do. I never thought I'd wear it so often. I am getting a DD40 (228206) back from RSC servicing tomorrow -- it was gone for most of the past 10 months, finally getting a new movement -- and I'll be interested to see how much I end up wearing that watch compared to the 126660 DSSD JC.
