Absolutely! I will post some pictures with the fabric strap. I agree. I think it will make the watch much more casual than it already is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oh man! I don’t envy you. I was in that same predicament. (Honestly, we are blessed to be in them). I was looking heavily at a 5146J in yello gold with the grey dial. I tried it in at the Geneva Salon and it was beautiful!! It is such a classic and great fit. By the way, that is another story of experience at the Salon. Anyway, I digress. Aside from the purple color, my other factor is how modern it is. To tell you the truth, my family and I were at a farmer’s museum in the outskirts of Geneva and saw an old family 1820 family picture with the same composition as mine. Three small boys. I stared at the photo looking at the kids with no shoes, old leather beat up shoes, awkward garments, and strange hats. Then I looked over my own kids with neon colors, Nike shoes, a Casio G-Shock, and Pokemon hats. What would they have thought of us? This is what the Code looks to me. It looks and feels futuristic that when you compare it with a Royal Oak, the RO starts to look dated. Don’t get me wrong, I love the RO to pieces but this is how i concluded with the Code. One final comment, in an age of Zoom meetings, casual wear, and the end of Brooks Brothers, the Code is falling in line with what is ahead. That is my opinion. By the way, there are other brands doing the same: MB&F, Moser (like the Streamliner) and Akrivia (absolutely love them). And others brands. Let us know what you end up getting. Congratulations and what great service, unlike some boutiques here in the United States, they are operated like used car lots.

Big congrats! I was debating on the blue for a bit when it first came out and took time off thinking about it. Really like your purple Code and I'll need to drop by the AP boutique. Congrats again and enjoy the purple dial and the case.

Buying Code is always a great reference to your profile. If one day you want a sport model, I'm sure boutique will cut the queue for you. Nice watch.

Thanks. They really did provide superb service. I also had “to be desired” service from the U.S. I was thinking that it was related to COVID. What did you mean about used car lots? : ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I did! I got the Code 11.59 in purple and I couldn’t be any happier. I really appreciate everyone’s input, ideas, and thoughts on this watch (even the ones that hate it). I know it is a polarizing watch. I know there is definitely better and more intricate mechanisms to purchase. I know (trust me) that this is a heavy dollar amount to throw for a time only watch. I know I will take a killing in value. But the more time I spent with it at the Boutique, the more I wore it, and the more I looked at it, I fell in love. I said , “F&ck it! I love the watch.”
To me, this is the best part of the review. You actually bought a watch you love regardless of public opinion. Well done and enjoy!!

Awesome watch and congrats! I am one that also likes the Code 11.59 and have since I first saw it. I think there is a lot of nuance and detail to the watch that people may not see at first glance or until they really take a good hard look at it.

has anybody here "tested the waters" with AP in terms of bundling with the Code? I assume a 15500 blue is within reach but how about time only code plus 15202 or even a skeleton ? I assume that's not going to happen - anybody here had this conversation with a boutique?

I got 15202st for my time only code purchase. I was brave enough to be the very first customer in my AD to buy it before seeing the actual watch. Picked a 2-tone black dial. A friend of mine also scored the same. After that, no more. You need at least a chrono Code in order to be considered. I bought my Code last month and 15202 came a few weeks later. Super fast.
Bundling seems like a typical practice nowadays. |

I was added to the list but I am not expecting anything from the boutique yet. I keep hearing that something super big is coming but don’t know what it is. I told my sales guy laughing that I want first dibs! Have no idea what it would be. One thing I do know is that I was not into the 15500 I’m black dial. Nice watch but not for me. Now, a 15202, I would be all over that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
