I can appreciate a store that looks at the people that show true enthusiasm for a piece instead of only considering the amount of money you had spent with them... My AD is in a smaller town, and I believe that's what served me well in getting the watches I want fairly quickly. They found my Bluesy within a week of my contacting them last year. The DJ 41 arrived in their store a day before they had to shut down for the pandemic, and I called them the first day they opened and was able to get it that following weekend. My SA has been very patient and communicative with me. Her wearing the CHNR on her wrist the day I bought the DJ41 is what really got me wanting it. Can't wait to pick it up on Saturday.

Enjoy yours....now you have a new found problem...which will you wear when!? I know I don't know how to decide either because sometimes I like wearing the 1960's gold DJ36 I got from my dad....it's a good problem to have!
A big part of me wants to try to keep this watch in mint condition ..

the bluesy has taken a pretty good beating because i made it into a daily wear. (also i went swimming and was a little careless with it when i got close to the pool edge!!)

.. but then again YOLO .. and i didn't buy it to not wear it .. so we'll see.

thanks for the comment.

really enjoying the contract of how it wears vs the bluesy.

I think i'll have a better opinion to share on a few months and once i get to go outside with it around people.

the bluesy is a loud watch - it gets attention and people comment on it. -- we'll see if thats the case with the TT CHNR.

-- from my own POV they feel very different .. the dark tones on the CHNR i think give it a more subtle feel . the rose gold is not as shiny or attention grabbing .. and under some lighting, fades into the SS.

so i think the CHNR might feel like a more subdued classier watch. --

-- but its not like the CHNR would go unnoticed, like all GMT's is hard to miss the bezel and the size / posture of the watch is attention grabbing.

the GMT feels like a bigger watch .. prob due to the bezel -- being busier with a fatter font.

Congratulations! Friend of mine picked up a blue dial Sky Dweller from them recently. A great AD with a great staff and owner. Enjoy!

Great timepiece. I’m on the waiting list for the same reference. And at the AD yesterday they even let me try the root beer on, along with a new no date sub. What a tease !

Congrats! I can tell that's Alvin Goldfarb from the pics. That's my AD too. Who was your SA? They are such a great group of people there. They have had the same staff as long as I've been going there which is 12 years. I really believe they focus on clients who have a true passion for the watches and not just a large spend history. Here is my story with them from last month.

This is the second watch I've bought from mark. They are a very nice, friendly store. Coming through with this piece certainly has earned them future business.

For sure they are on my calendar for every leap year

Mark was very patient while I took every sticker of the watch and just chatted.. I told him I wanted the honors, and that I intended to savor the moment.

I think this shows the importance of just visiting the AD multiple times so they put a face to the name and they get to know you

I LOVE this watch. It's my grail. Love your story as well. It's similar to how I came across my 126710BLNR. Small purchase history with the AD but the owner seemed to like me. Congrats!

A SA from this very same AD called me today and offered me a black dial Milgauss. I've only visited there once and remember the SA saying the owner does decide who gets to buy the more sought after Rolex models. Congratulations on your rootbeer!

Did you take the milgauss.

They currently have a white dish milgauss in their used case. Looks perfect, but not my cup of tea.

You took the stickers off yourself too? I asked my SA if I can do the same thing and see said I could, even offered to take a video of the whole thing...haha! I also asked if they can keep it in the transit box until I get there and she agreed to that as well... should be interesting!

I told the gal I'd need to sleep on it. When i was there i tried on the white dial milgauss. It's nice but would be redundant as I have the polar dial Explorer II.

I’m inspired to go visit my AD, to show my masked face lol. Been waiting for a year and a half for a 116508 Green dial. I keep hoping....
