They popped the lid on discounts a long time ago. It’s going to be tough to convince anyone that knows better to pay retail. Discounts are not great for the brand, but they set expectations they will heavily discount their brand.

I only got 5% off with no tax for a seamaster300 white dial rubber strap today. SA told me today that there may be another price increase this year , and getting rid of any discounts on the sea master and speed master range.

I wonder how sustainable that is. Taking a quick look at Watchcharts and Chrono24, it seems new Speedys are available at 10% off from grey dealers, and Seamasters are >20% off. That’s not even accounting for taxes.

I was offered 13% off (tax) at an AD on a 3861 sapphire in January. I didn’t ask, it was just offered up.

I am thinking about getting a sapphire sandwich some time later this year and wonder what if any discount I should ask for.

Frankly, if I could get the 3861 with both straps (leather and steel) for the price of the 3861 with the leather strap I would be happy.

I am I aiming too high or low?

The largest discount I’ve seen is 15% on a SMP300.
MN tax kills over half that discount sadly.

Aafes unfortunately does not carry many omega models anymore. Just looked and only 2 models there today.

Seamaster and speedmaster with only a 5% discount.

Yes but they often do promos with 30% discount. There is a whole thread about the crazy deals on another forum. Just Google it.
