Is the PO LM ltd edn worth the money of a PO 8500?

I've rekindled my interest in the Planet Ocean. From what I've seen the PO 8500 is a gorgeous watch but wears too tall. The Liquidmetal limited edition looks stunning as well but appears to be in the market at the same price despite it running the older 2500C cal.
Is the Liquidmetal worth the cash?

I would go for it!

BTW, if anyone knows of an Omega US AD that has a BNIB PO LM LE in stock, please send me a PM.

My PO LM LE arrived in May 2010 along with a TT GMTIIc:

The GMTIIc stayed three months.

This one is also gone:

As is my grail 16600 SD:

The PO LM LE won all the "wrist time wars" and I am in no way tempted by the new 8500 POs. Yes, the 8500 is an awesome movement but the thicker case required by the movement is a deal killer for me. I've owned seven 2500 movements and three 8500s. None of the 2500s ever missed a beat and were just as accurate as the 8500s.

IMO, the PO LM LE is the ultimate Planet Ocean. POs just don't get any better. I consider myself blessed to be among the 1948 owners.

Is it worth the extra cost? Apparently so. I've turned down several offers for MSRP+ as well as an 8500 Ti LM in an equal swap.

I've had several offers at MSRP+ recently.

For a two year old watch - that's pretty neat.

I had the choice of both. Seeing them side by side for me there was no comparison... The POLM just dazzled. As soon as I saw it I just had to have it and bought it there and then.....
