First Omega .....incoming FOIS

Just bought a new FOIS from DSW. Looking forward to this piece. Love the history/backstory, love the look. I know there’s a lot of “hesalite only” fans, but this reference, with the vintage vibe, really sings to me. A Speedmaster pro with hesalite may be in the future, but this ones size, hands, lugs, no crown guards, etc....really spoke to me.

Whoa / an omega for you! Congrats. I like the 39.7 case size on this one

Thank you. Yes the case size was one of the factors when deciding on this one

This is a fantastic watch.

I’ve had mine for a few years now and it’s a wonderful companion to my heselite moonwatch on leather. It wears totally different and has a totally different feel.

Despite the absence of heselite it is slightly domed but feels very vintage!

Congrats

I wanted a Speedy with a leather band ... so I had choice of FIOS or MOTM ... I chose the MOTM because the band has a really nice clasp instead of a buckle and slight wider at 20mm. If the FOIS had a clasp I would have gone with it instead .. Although .. I do prefer the Hesalite. The case is really same size on both .. MOTM just has crown guard but not that noticeable.

Beautiful 1st choice. Wear in good health. Love mine...and you will come to understand truly how versatile these are once you start playing with straps.

Great pick up bud!

She will be awesome on a vintage type bracelet (1171) too! So much watch at this pricing point. Enjoy my friend.

My first Omega is Speedmaster FOIS as well.
Its so versatile that I have options to wear different straps each day of the week.
Cheers to your new purchase!

Congrats. The FOIS is a great watch. So versatile. I don’t have mine now, but if I was going to add a speedy again, this would probably be it....

Congrats, I also very much prefer the FOIS case size and design. I am thinking about selling my SD43 and getting one of these. The only things I would prefer is hesalite and they should have provided a 1171 type bracelet.
