Daydate 18038 on leather strap. Yay or nay

So... i just bought leather strap for dd 18038 because i know president strap is better but sometimes it little bit too loud. So I want to test with leather strap. I think i need time to get used to it but what you guys think? Yay or nay?

I agree. That Day-Date model works really well on a crocodile or alligator strap. Look for one in a non-glossy finish, a somewhat thin profile, and with a strong taper to 16mm at the buckle.

I like it. Great way to change it up.

Nay, don't like the white stitching, way too casual. Looks nice on the bracelet.

Great watch but your choice of strap does not do it for me. If you went with a classic alligator or other equally suitable strap for a gold Rolex I think it would look better. Even when you lose the bracelet the watch is still a gold DD.

Yes, the one you have does not fit a DD imho as well

Aboslutely; that is a strap for a vintage tool watch not a dress watch.

I do like changing up watches with a band however, it really needs a dressier band. IMO

Yeah, this is exactly what I was going to say. On a black alligator strap with just a little glossiness, that thing would look amazing.

I'm not a huge fan of yellow gold in general, but one place I love it is with black. Gold and black look so great together.

I would put it on a more "formal" leather strap if you want the change. this strap is super casual and I personally don't think it fits the watch.
