What should my buddy add to his collection?

My buddy has this Rolex collection he has built in last two years! He is asking me what should he get next (Rolex) ? He has a Tudor Chrono white dial. and has Cartier dress watches.

I suggested a Day-Date everose or a Green OP 41.

Your thoughts welcome.

Solid collection. I wish my AD offers this many in just 2 years. It'd get an OF Daytona if I were him

Green sub if he wants steel; daydate if he wants gold. Ideally both

If he doesn't know what to buy next the answer is don't buy anything.

Nice collection! I recommend a Day-Date or a Datejust since the classics are missing.

Bud is actually low key in general regarding social media, etc…I think a lot of Rolex/other collectors don’t join The Forum or similar.

Trusts my suggestions and watch reports. His brother has a similar size Rolex mostly steel collection, but lives overseas. I think only this year’s new TT GMT-II and sub are in both collections.

I have myself some that match my buddy’s collection.

Amazing he has been fortunate to build up from one sub and a vintage Air King to this collection, but if one clicks with an AD and they like you, one gets. In my case, same, but have been client with my AD for years.

Le Mans … let’s see how good this relationship with his AD really is !!! Lol

Back to reality … easy … he should choose the watches he likes out of the Rolex catalog.

If he’s just collecting because they’re offered, then …

Daytona White Dial
Daytona Black Dial
Daytona Platinum
Daytona on OF
Sky-Dweller Blue Dial
Day-Date Platinum

Why do folks ask what watch they should or someone else buy next? With what other stuff do people do that, is the question.

X1000. We don’t have a clue on his personal style, budget or anything about this person.
And just to add that, why would you ask strangers to spend your money?

Take a step back and pause for breath and determine what the end game is - seems like an OCD behaviour to get all these watches and the itch not yet scratched.

That many good pieces in 2 years. OK, so he has a "hook" and spare $, but he doesn't own a computer and his own mind or thought process... ? Well, ok then.
