5512 back from service! evolution and some macros...

Finally got my watch back and got hold of a macro lens!
here area few snaps of the evolution...

How i first got it...RSC had plundered it in 2005...

then I found a better insert and some better hands...

And finally in 2012 it got the service it much needed... after much research I chose to take it to Steve Hale at SHWR in London, they had quoted me up to 5 months wait but they did it in 3!
now its running impeccably, power reserve lasting days...passed 200m pressure test too!
Aesthetically it got a gentle polish and fitted NOS plexi, NOS crown, saved butterfly rotor, and found a much better set of hands!

Next will send bracelet ( folded 9315) off to M.Young for tightening stretch!

5512 , serial is 693xxx and casaback is stamped III 60 so it was made sometime between the end of 1960 to the start of 1961...

Wow, that watch looks amazing. There is a night and day different in the hands that are on it now versus the ones that were on it originally.
Congrats. Now wear it and show it off with some wrist shots.

I think all 5512 all are 4 liners not 2 like the 5513. Could someone confirm if this is an early 5512 or:

5513 with a 5513 service dial / newer replacement (Swiss only), and not a 5512.
Or
5512 with a 5513 service dial / newer replacement (Swiss only).

No not all 5512's are 4 liners and I have owned 2 line early 5512 gilt's with closed chapter ring as well.

PS-To the OP--looks great!! Cheers,

Wow, what a great job! The original had potential, but now it just pops! Congrats on a "new" vintage 5512!
