Insane UK pricing

LV (Hulk) in the window of a Glasgow pre owned/grey market reseller today

£9,500. No joke. Sticker also said "collectable"

Even fully stickered (nor sure if it was) that's a disgrace. UK list is £6.600. I know they're hard to get but seriously ??

I saw a Daytona priced at 17,500 recently

Its just mad in the UK at the moment.

I'm so glad i bought all my SS watches 4+ years ago.

For reference i paid £5,500 for my 116610LV in 2014. It has certainly gone mad.

That's crazy. I was tempted when i saw a 2014 hulk for £7450. Luckily, I resisted the temptation to buy it and then got the call from an AD a week later (after about a month on the waiting list) saying he had a new one for me.

Probably expect someone will want it bad enough to pay the premium over list.

Gray dealers are exploiting the current limited supply of SS Rolex in the UK. I can remember some people were charging $15000 for Milgauss GV about 10 years ago stating it was "collectable"

Shocking, when I was after mine in April last year I was offered one from a grey new and stickered for £5800 but didn't think £250 was enough of a saving over the AD price. I don't think that one will be sold anytime soon.

Stupid. You can buy them pre-owned unused at 8k. This seller should be assumed of themselves.

2 or 3 month wait if you are known at your AD.

Totally nuts paying over list.

Sweet watch though

It really has gone crazy. I'm happy I picked up my No date Sub for well under list and my Skydweller at list. Just have to wait 18 months for the Daytona from my AD now

I think I need to talk to Art Vandelay and expand the exporting business of Rolex watches to the U.K.

Chaps

We are the first to hammer a discount when circumstances allow it and we often have seen instances discounts being compared in an effort to boost them to greater levels. At one time we were winning the fight to push prices down.

You cannot really complain when a third party tries to sell it at a juicy mark up, it is simply the law of the market.

The customer wants a low price and the trade wants a high price and there are two options.

Continue with the free for all or stick to RRP and stop dealing with grey dealers, it's our choice.

Regards

Mick

Express shipment via DHL - it will be in your house in 3-4 days. Easy

It's not just the UK. Stock here is at what seems to be an all time low and I would imagine it will be even less on Monday morning once the F1 is over and all the tourists have left. It took my AD here four months to get in the Sub date that Mrs Van D bought for my birthday.

Even though the YM isn't that popular, I was lucky to get mine as quick as I did

And as long as there are IMHO fools willing to pay these crazy prices then prices for these so called collectible watches will remain, afraid the WIS has made a rod for his/her own back.
