Omega AT quartz - stopped working

Hi Gents,

Need your advice.

Bough an Aqua Terra Quartz about two month ago and all of a sudden its stopped ticking.

I presume its probably the battery gone flat.

Question - given that its only two month, should i ask for the battery to be replaced free of charge from an omega boutique OR iam expected to pay?

Thank you.

Two months is not long enough if you purchased the watch new. Also, Omega quartz watches have an "End-of-Life" indicator. The second hand moves in two second intervals when the battery nears expiration. If your watch was not showing this EOL indication, something else may be wrong. It's worth getting checked out.

Thanks Jeremy.

There was an EOL indicator but i think that only lasted 3 days before the watch completely stoppped.

Watch was in the safe so it was hard for me to tell when the EOL started.

Iam going to the omega boutique this afternoon and see what they say.

All done. Pick up my watch yesterday. They did a partial service and changed the battery. Covered under warrenty. Happy with the outcome and turn around - one week.

Glad to hear it! It's a shame you were parted with your watch for a week, but that's not a bad turn around time. I'm also pleased to hear they covered it under warranty. Enjoy!
