Help!!

Hey guys,
So I own many Rolex watches and a a few APs. I have been trying to find a Patek, but with all this madness it seems impossible. How does a newbie go about this issue ?? My AD do not carry Pateks! This is more frustrating than I thought it would be. Lol

How did you amass the rolex and AP’s? I would do the same but at a Patek AD
:)

Lol

You go in and buy a model they have on display to get on their list. Normally they have a 5960, 5230 or 5930 on display, so that gets you entry to their waitlist on sports models.

Or you go in and a buy a 5719G (if they have) which would probably make you gain priority for a nautilus of some sort later on.

Hahah I knew I was going to get comments like that. My only problem is I don’t have an AD in my city at all. Closest on is a 2 hour drive.

If you have enough money to buy a Patek, you probably have enough to buy one anywhere in the world. Figure out where you want to go for vacation and buy one there.

What answer are you looking for? There is no secret recipe.

Non-Nautilus or non-Aquanaut references are available at the AD. If you want to buy new, you will likely have to drive there - prehaps after a phone call to check their stock.

If you are looking for a reference from the sports lines and don’t want to bother building a relationship (i.e. buy other Patek watches), you need to go Gray. As a bonus, they will probably send the watch to you.

Talking about putting things in perspective. That one stack will buy me a lot of things at Costco. Now I feel like these toys are pricey!

I had to google what git was...
The definition was as confusing as the word. I feel like i need to google the last line for prat, pejorative andd berk.

Lol

Git is a term of insult with origins in British English denoting an unpleasant, silly, incompetent, annoying, senile, elderly or childish person. As a mild oath it is roughly on a par with prat and marginally less pejorative than berk.

I would definitely go out my way but the problem is most AD for any luxury watch will not tell you if they have it in stock. Trust me, I’ve tried plenty of times haha

So does that mean you're looking for SS Patek's? Any Patek AD will happily tell you they have xxx non in demand Patek in stock and ready to sell to you yesterday!

If you just want one SS, I'd go grey and get it on you now, if you want a few then you have to build a relationship and it will take years to get a small collection together now.

X2
If you plan to collect the brand then make a relationship. If you have your mind set on one reference and then are done buy grey and pay up now

You can probably go to the Geneva salon and place an order. Call them and see if they have what you want to try. If you’re trying to get something rare you’ll be better served going gray.
