That’s a relationship you don’t need.
There are better ADs that won’t extort you.

I agree, that would be the end for me. I mean come on, I love the brand but damn, I'll roll in and pick up that Grand Seiko and have some sense or a number of other great pieces from other brands. Easy for me to say I guess having most of the very hard to get stainless models right now in hand but damn... Insane!

Selling a PM to a grey. 50 percent of retail my friend is the going rate.

Anyone else out there willing to do this deal and in SoCal to consummate today (who knows it may last to tomorrow), give them a call at (760) 432-8400‬.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Why would you even want to do that deal or do business with a shady AD like that? Almost seems like an advertisement for AD but Imo a bad advertisement.

I mean there has to be folks at Rolex who occasionally read these forums. Rolex has to be complicit in someway and likely knows about such extortion and turns a blind eye to this.

No - precious metal (meaning pure gold or platinum)

Someone’s getting a Pepsi SS today in SoCal, but it isn’t me

I didn’t do the deal with them. I know paying $36k for WG Sub is $11k over grey, which makes a $17k SS GMT Pepsi ($7k over MSRP + tax) look attractive on its own.

I’m not advertising, only notifying people who might think this works for them that this AD has the SS Pepsi at MSRP, but comes with this string.

I’m not making anyone call.

Bundling is the norm now, I would’ve taken the offer if I hadn’t gotten my bLRO already.

Buy a pm that nobody wants to buy a SS watch?
That dealer is robbing their customers. Shame on them!

I'm glad I stopped spending money with them...Ben Bridges these days is no different though. The new Fourtane boutique.....they say they're not like that.....but hate to say it, when it comes down to it, they will sell the hot stainless pieces to the bigger VIPs......it's just business at the end of the day regardless.

Its not that nobody wants a PM - heaps of people want precious metal (I only mostly wear precious metal now). Just not many people can afford watches at this price.

And to have a caveat of buying a PM piece in order to buy a $9k watch is extortion and just stupidity.

A friend was offered a similar deal. However the PM piece he wanted was not in stock. He paid in full and waited almost 9 months for his PM piece. For some people it makes sense deals like this one.

The only way I would do this deal is if I was actually already in the market for a PM piece and also wanted a SS as well.

And for this to work I would want at least 15% off the PM piece and bundle the SS at MSRP.

Anything else makes no sense as the numbers would either negate each other or be skewed against you.

Why would I go to Walmart to buy my soy milk but in order to do so I need to buy six gallons of organic whole milk.
Or want to buy an F150 Raptor but need to buy seven Ford Fiestas to be considered.
I don't care what it is, I will categorically deny buying something I don't want or need(which is triple the price) for something else I really want.

So far I have a nice AD to deal with and can patiently wait my turn. If the day comes where I have to buy a rose gold Pearlmaster with a mop dial and diamond bezel just to buy a Sub LV, Daytona or BLRO or any watch...guess I don't need the watch. Will happily filter the money over to car parts or a badass vacation for the wifey and I.

As the saying goes, I may have been born at night but not last night.

The money you save on the BLRO buying retail is more than lost on the PM buying retail.
You won't even break even. That's a bad deal in my book. You can get BNIB BLRO + PM cheaper going grey in other words.

Hence the true market value of the BLRO, with which many don´t agree with but is in line with just about every factor out there, with few exceptions.
