Omega Semaster Pro 2500
Now that the 8500/8400 calibers are in use, does anyone thing Omega will discontinue the older Seamaster Pro 300m with the 2500 movement? I happen to like this watch because of the solid case back the thinner profile.

Omega's president, Stephen Urquhart, has said that the fully antimagnetic movements will eventually be put into everything Omega makes (with the exception of the Moonwatch). That said, I wouldn't expect the Seamaster Pro 300m to change over to the 8500 before about 2017 or so. You may want to get one within the next year or two if you want the current model ... I would recommend it (I have one, and it's incredible).

I think calibre 2500 powered omega watches will still be around for a while. These are entry level omega watches which help the brand maintain its consumer bases. No doubt omega is trying very hard to move upmarket, till it reaches the level it wants to be, 2500 calibre will continue to be produced.
