The Stainless Steel Thread.

Well I’m a sucker for stainless steel Patek and this one makes my third. I just got my 5960, so I wanted to start an Acier thread. I’ll start with this one.

I really like this watch and it’s keeper for me. The fact that it’s been discontinued didn’t really factor into my decision but I guess it’s a nice perk. The relative value proposition is self evident for a small fry like me. I never figured to be able to afford a complication (and certainly not a chronograph) from this brand but lucked out by finding a willing trade partner. The fact that this has been an ugly duckling helped. But hey one person’s mistake is another’s opportunity. The case is so well done it’s remarkable; such a nice change from the flat simple three hand watches I have from the Nautilus line. Anyway, here’s a pic. :)

The link can be replace even if you have to buy one.....

Should be around $200..... And if you have to order one, now is the good time to order the 1.5 link if you need it.....

You said it well. Maybe underappreciated but one of my favorite PP dials. Very classy. Congrats.

I keep coming back to this thread and photo. I think the white dial 5711 is truly something special. I wonder if, like the white and black dial SkyDweller, it stands in the shade as a lesser watch compared to the blue dial. I know many consider the blue dial to be the definitive dial, but the white looks sensational and I prefer it in many ways.

Hello my friend, i was debating between the white and the blue, i know the blue is more iconic, but the white is more sporty and causal wear at the same time, just to let you know, the dial is silver white dial, on different shades it is silver color

That's a wonderful, wonderful photo showing the contrast of the silver-white dial. I think the blue is the better known dial, but the watch in silver-white is really special. Whether blue or silver-white, it's an iconic watch.

How long have you had it? Did you intend to buy the white dial?

Beautiful. Love that silver... I am currently awaiting a blue dial, but man-o-man, the pull toward going with a white dial gets stronger by the day.
