New Aquanaut at baselworld 2019

So I've just had a chat with someone who is reliabliy informed that there is a new Aquanaut coming at basel 2019

I can see them going down the Nautilus line, so we have the 5167, 5968, chrono, 5164 travel, AC next? Mmmm

What do you reckon it would be?

Stainless steel PC Aquanaut with a stainless bracelet predicated upon the rubber strap would do me in.

Based on using an existing movement, as I doubt they'd create a new one for an SS watch, I'd say an Aquanaut equivalent of a 5712. After all, the Aquanaut range has a Chrono, three hander with date, and dual time watches.

I can’t see PP putting a moonphase on an aquanaut. I could see an AC though

Can't see it as it would mean it's the cheapest aquanaut

I personally think they are gonna make the range all 42mm, and discontinue the 5167a 40 mm ( well. I'm hoping)

And also to me the AC really is a sports watch in a Aquanaut, only my opinion mind

No I am thinking 5122 which has the dial and complications of the 5522 on a brown rubber strap.

This is a 5522, which would mean the new Aquanaut would be time only

I could see that happening. And it will still be cheaper than the 5968 on the secondary market.

I could be interested in an aquanaut PC based on the layout of the 5320 (no retro design of course).

SS Aqua on rubber with an AC seems unlikely to me, more likely to be in PM. Think the chrono will get PM incarnations.

I really hope they won’t turn the 5167a into a 42mm... wouldn’t it be nice for Patek to stick to tradition and keep it at 40mm although I know the 5165 was a 38mm? Please don’t move into supersized watches

Oh, I see. Wow the 5522 looks awesome I can only imagine how great it would be reimagined as the 5122 Aquanaut!
