Whilst my personality leans towards dress watches (understated, stealthy), my dress code is mostly chinos and a shirt and so I tend to have limited wrist time for my watches (Calatrava and 3940).

Something more sporty is on the list but undecided on which.

When you care how other people think about your wstch preference, you are already majority, welcome to the club!

Dress watch is always elegant and it could also come in simple or relentlessly complicated form. Love it.

It's a mood thing for me. Love a beautiful dress piece, though.

I love dress watches but I'm not going to wear one with fine gator strap to the pool or for a hike.

Me either but I don’t think I would wear my Nautilus on a tough hike or swimming laps either. :)

I live in Houston and much of the year, due to the heat and humidity, wearing a croc strap makes no sense, unless you want to but a new strap fairly often. So I only have one dress watch 5296r Calatrava and four sport watches.

I like dress watches too and they can be fairly versatile but I also like sports watches. Rolex, Omega, and Breitling are brands I gravitate toward for sport watches while Lange, VC, Patek, and JLC are brands I gravitate toward for Dress watches.
