No.
I somehow prefer seeing Rolex endorsements by achievers in their respective fields. Not fictional characters.. Perhaps Tudor would be a better option for a Bond movie

Totally, Ian Fleming wrote bond had a Rolex so it's really the only choice. Cellini for the casino and sub for working.
I think omega were willing to pay and Rolex were not. They had to buy the cars in the sixties, can't imagine how much that's worth now.

Funny thing is when people talk about the submariner they almost always bring up the Bond factor. Bond wore it with a tux.. etc etc. That being said I think Rolex will always have a strong association with James Bond. It would be like if Rolex was the new watch of NASA. The Omega speedmaster will always be the moon watch no mater how many times Rolex goes on the moon.

Disappointed

Disappointed...... in Skyfall 2012, Q met with Bond in a art gallery... Bond was handed a black box that contained a firearm and a tracking device.... bond comments, "And that's it?" Q's comment to Bond "Were you expecting an exploding pen? We don't really go in for that any more." .....No! but where's the "F"ing watch with all the gadgets hidden with in???? Huh, and yes it should definitely be really a Rolex Submariner

Would love it, but they'd have to outbid Omega and that's one of the few working marketing partnerships Omega has in my opinion.

Omega is just so boring.

If Bond wore a Speedy I think that would be different.

But yes, absolutely would love to see Bond with a special edition 114060 no date.

Exactly.

Fictional character wearing a prop, not sure how this matters?

It's a bit of a turnoff to see all of the product placement in the bond movies. At this point I think it would do more harm to the brand than good.

Bond is ex Royal Navy Commander so would have to be Submariner or SeaDweller of some sort

SD4K would be the perfect watch for Bond.

+1 Exactly this.

Maybe put him in a Speedy and have him land an atmosphere reentry vehicle.

The absolute WORST was seeing Heineken throw up all over the screen in Skyfall!

I wonder what the waitlist for a special edition Bond Rolex would be?

Odds on the next Bond have Hiddlestone back as fave after the Taylor Swift fiasco, with James Norton and Richard Madden next up, and now Tom Hardy drifting out with Idris.

Think a Rolex would look good on Norton and Hardy, while Hiddlestone like Brosnan looks more an Omega man.

I'm in the minority camp that thinks it should be something like an OP. I'm thinking a OP 36 or an Explorer I.

Sea Dweller if not OP/Exp I. I wouldn't mind a sub either, but any Rolex option would look better than Omega I think.

BB58 on fabric would be prefect. Like connery’s sub.

In reality, he’ll end up with a seamaster on rubber....

My first premium mechanical watch was the original Omega 2531.80 from 1998. Paid $1800 when I was 22 and I've had the watch ever since, love it.

Now that I'm older and better off, I've gone over to the Rolex camp. But I still have a fondness for the Seamaster and Omega.

Though I have to say, the worst product placement ever filmed was that forced line of dialogue during the train scene of Casino Royale.

Vesper: "Rolex?"
Bond: "No...OMEGA!"
