New Patek AD in La Jolla, CA

CJ Charles, a jeweler on Prospect Avenue (the main street in the village of La Jolla), has announced that they will be an authorized dealer for Patek Phillipe. I will stop by this afternoon and check it out.

Very cool. I'll have to check it out. La Jolla is a nice little watch shopping area with Westime having AP and RM and now CJ carrying Patek.

That's great to hear - another SoCal option. And, it's an interesting time to take on the AD license. A somewhat contrarian view, considering the current state of the Swiss watch industry.

Let us know how the selection is. Thanks for sharing the news.

Cool--thanks for passing this along. I just moved back to SoCal and was surprised there weren't many Patek dealers nearby. La Jolla is a great location for one.

Thanks to all for reading. We had some pet issues so did not have time to check out the store yet. Maybe Monday.

Thanks John, let us know when you do. I've been meaning to come down for lunch and shopping, this just gives me one more reason.

Hope your pet is OK.

Cat is okay. $500 for blood and urine tests. Yikes, pets can be expensive to own.

We are going to eat lunch in the village today. I'll try to see if the jeweler is open today.

UPDATE: I visited the CJ Charles AD today. A few dress Pateks to start. No Nautilus or Aquanaut yet, but a large shipment of Pateks is enroute via mail and should arrive tomorrow. The sales people, who were extremely fr9iendly and helpful, said they hope for Nautilus in the shipment.

The female sales person immediately recognized my Platona. They encouraged us to get the word out on their new Patek AD status.

So a great staff, and more pateks to come in the near future.

I wonder what, if any, incentives Patek provides a new retailer on initial stock. To bring in a good assortment has got to be a significant investment.

I am going to guess and say none. If you want to sell you gotta have the dosh to hold the inventory. I have a thread somewhere on the minimum pieces they need to hold.
