I just don't think you're gonna get the bang for your buck giving up all that for one watch- albeit one very nice watch.

Bottom line: I might give up one or the other, but not both. The deciding factor would be how much I wore/enjoyed the watch I would potentially be giving up, versus how much I would wear/enjoy the incoming. It's all very subjective, however.

Good luck,

Conclusions

126710BLRO
The jubilee is a very cool and comfortable bracelet, very scratch resistant. The black dial adds a very nice contrast against the Red/blue bezel and the steel plus the polished&brushed jubilee. Overall a great watch.
I kept it on the wrist for 43 days instead of 30.

126719BLRO Meteorite:
- the lack of contrast of dial against hands makes telling time nearly impossible.
- same lack of contrast of the dial against the WG case.
- the Meteorite dial and the blue/red bezel have little in common and do nothing together.
- because of the WG case weight, the sharp edges leave deep marks into the skin, making this watch less comfortable than others.
27 days with it and couldn’t resist anymore, swapped it for the next one (15500ST AP RO). So it will probabil see very few days on the wrist until it reaches the requested 3 years of ownership and take the CPO road back to Rolex.

I got onto the hype train with the Meteorite and was wrong. But hit it right with the jubilee 126710BLRO so there’s little telling before trying

So no, I would not do the trade…
That’s exactly where I land in it as well. I was underwhelmed when I got to try one on. but to each their own

OP, have you handled one in person?

I would much prefer having a blro and 116500 rather than a meteorite gmt. You are basically giving away a Daytona and a gmt for a very similar watch with a different dial

Make sure it sings when you try it on. I would not make this trade. I think the GMT falls flat and washes out. I think that dial pops more on just about any other model so I am clearly biased. I feel bad saying this but I want to be honest. I have let watches go in trades and been happy and have done it and been sad. If you are not at 100% I wouldn't do it. Also, new GMT would be full set right?

2 for 1 Trade thoughts

I’ve changed my mind. If he’s like the rest of us, he has plenty of other watches. So he’s giving up 2 to get 1, plus a little cash. So what! I say, enjoy a day out with your wife, and come home with the new Meteorite GMT. Good luck!

Maybe ... depends on the meteorite dial. Some are amazing and some are meh.

I've only tried on a 126719BLRO Meteorite, but the parts in red were my exact observations too. Never understood why they paired that dial with the loudest (and totally unrelated) BLRO bezel. Just doesn't work for me.

So no I wouldn't do that trade either.

Update #2
The wife and I went on a day trip and I did NOT make the trade. We decided to keep the faith in my unbelievable A/D and hold out hope that the phone will ring sooner than later and I will get the meteorite at MSRP like every watch in my collection.
If by chance it gets discontinued like the others then I will definitely revisit.
Thank you to everyone for the comments.

No way, keep what you have! It's always best to keep what you have personally bought from the AD, and you won't be able to get those pieces again.

I’d rather have a 116500 than blro meteorite. Shocking as that may sound.
