Best of the best chronograph, which one? picture included.

from this picture, i think the daytona is the better one, more contrast, and even the bracelet looks magnificent.

ROC from a finish perspective. Daytona from durability. Overall the AP wins.

Intellectually, I’d go AP, but my heart prefers the Daytona. Maybe if I had a bigger wrist I’d prefer the AP.

Guys buy watches mostly because of the way they look. That's No. 1. So, I don't care how well that AP is finished. The design is bulky and awkward to my eye, with a crooked date wheel.

Subjective to a degree, but the Daytona is far prettier.

Daytona for sure. The date wheel utterly ruins the AP for me. If Bell&Ross can 'upright' the date.... Besides, the Bvlgari Octo makes a better 'modern' Genta style imho. Love the thinness too

This sums it up for me. And the RO is way too big for most people.

Agree. Its the bulky design that make me prefer the daytona between the two. If it was time only RO then I would probably prefer the RO (very sleek watch - only downside being lower WR rating).

Not too long ago daytona vs speedmaster comparisons were en vogue and the past few years seems to have shifted to Daytona vs roc. “Better” is a tricky word amongst watch enthusiasts.

Other than being watches and chronos and in SS, these watches have very little in common. That’s not a criticism of either of them. I just wouldn’t compare them.

That being said, since the Black Panther and Spider-Man watches, it’s hard for me to take AP seriously. Yes, still great quality, but, for me, the desire to spend (lots and lots of) my money on one is gone.

So, I’d take the Daytona for sure.

Better is fairly subjective. But if money were no object, AP for sure based on looks alone.

APs are very polarizing and people either love them or hate them. for me, i would almost always take an AP over a rolex, and that's nothing against the daytona in this case

I like the looks of the Daytona more than the ROC. Never owned an AP so just judging the looks.

Daytona is more comfortable to wear. AP is on another level. Both are some of my favorite chronographs.

I’m not much of a Daytona fan, but it’s a heck of a lot more pleasing to the eye, than the AP!

How often are you diving remotely close to 55 Fathoms and how often while wearing a non-computer, non self-luminescent wristwatch? Does the Daytona fit around your drysuit, thermal and gloves (it can be quite chilly at 100 meters under the surface)?

How many dive profiles does the Daytona save and does it connect to a PC via Bluetooth or USB?

Does the Daytona calculate deco times based on gas mixtures, depth, and total dive time? Does the Daytona calculate your RNT and surface intervals?

Wouldn’t something like a modern Sherwood, Shearwater, Aqua Lung, Atmos, etc be a far better candidate as a 10 ATM capable SCUBA/Freediving watch?

Asking for a friend…

However, you should not swim with a watch that is only 5 atm water resistant, as that is just the resting pressure with no movement. You can take a shower with a maximum of 5 atm. For swimming the watch needs to be at least 10 atm and since I leave my watch on while swimming it needs to be at least 10 atm.
