MB Agatha FP. Just the cap and box. $$$$

Check out this auction. Just the cap and box. At this time $555.00!

I have never seen a cap for one of these for sale anywhere.

Wonder what happened to the pen??

Guess the cap would still fit another MB pen though, no? Still, very strange to see just the cap and box for sale...

Is there a good place to get replacement caps? I have a cross that i bought used with an engraved cap. I would like to get a new one.

The only thing that's missing from that cap is the barrel (pen). Since the Agatha is a standard 136 design one can easily find an old 136 and viola you got a snake pen (as long as you don't look at the nib!). I did consider bidding on that one (and the Voltaire) but I was in a meeting and completely forgot about it.

BTW, the box is worth like $100-150 just by itself so if you don't like the box you can resell it to offset the cap cost.
