My new "Pepsi"

I know it is on the bottom of the value pole of my collection, but every new watch brings some excitement.

This is a 1970's model Seiko with an auto movement. It is in incredible condition for the age and will get some good wrist time. It even has some lume left.

I like it, it's got a look that says, Hell yeah I'm from the 70s!

David, that is a classic Seiko and I would say most definately that it is not at the bottom of anyone's collection :)

In fact, I have very fond memories of mine, which had the orange dia back in the 70'sl and I would go as far as saying that it was that piece that started me on the slippery slope!!! LOL

I hope that you enjoy many more years of it's company. :)

Excellent choice! Maybe lower in value but high in owner satisfaction.
BYW, it's easy to pop off the bezel to line up the tacky.

Yes, just take a exact o knife blade between the bezel and case to start the process. Then take a thicker blade to work around the edge. Once it pops off, make sure the gasket is in the correct position and place the 60 mark at 12:00. It will take a press to get it seated correctly though.
I use a small vice my dad made.

Is the case supposed to have a rubber gasket under the caseback? Also, how about gaskets around the crown stem and chrono buttons? I took this in the shower and got a little fogging so I had to take the case back off and let it dry out.
