Extension links that use pins instead of screws?

I was looking at a 1980s explorer and it looked right except it had a couple of extension links in the bracelet that appeared to have pins rather than screws? They look exactly like the other links. Has anyone seen something like this before? Would these be older links from another watch? Aftermarket links? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
