I actually ran across one of these in the wild a couple months back. A guy I know from the pool hall saw my sub and started up a "watch" conversation. Told me he had a "bad ass" Rolex at his house. Of course I wanted to see it so he went to grab it. After he handed it to me (and about.005 seconds) I was like "holy crap a Daytona?" Then I noticed that 1/2 of the hour indexes were rolling around the watch face, flipped it over and saw the "24 Hours of Daytona Winner" engraving... Told him "oh yeah beautiful watch" and handed it back. a few days later I broke the news to him. Wasn't trying to be mean but he was looking to sell it. Felt obligated to tell him the truth. Tons of these out there and they're all terrible.

He beat Jeff Kozlowski? First off, no one single driver runs the 24 hours of Daytona. Think about it, it's a 24 hour race. Secondly in 1992 the race was won by 3 Japanese drivers in a Nissan. Easy enough to look up. So not only is the watch a fake, but the story behind it is a little suspect as well. Your Uncle sounds like a hoot though.

Hey, I wasn't saying it was my uncle.......I was expanding on his initial description........Of course no one driver wins the 24 hours of Daytona. I was making fun of the backstory. There's a huge difference between the 24 hours of Daytona and the Daytona 500.
