Incoming - SIHH2019 IWC Pilot's Spitfire Chronograph 3879

This one showed up today - one of the first in the states.

I've owned both the 3717 and the 3777 and this new one is my favorite. Perfect size at 41mm, love the clean design and the new movement is rather promising.

The brown strap is very supple, but i also ordered the green fabric strap to give a few more options.

If you've got the opportunity to pick one up, you wont regret it...

Awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing the 41mm on my wrist, always found the 43 just a bit too big

Congrats! I just tried it on a few days ago and absolutely loved it. So perfect. I expect to add it to my collection this summer.

Enjoy, and post more pics!

What a beautiful watch!

(I've always thought IWC Fliegerchrono has a better-designed chrono dial than Daytona or Speedmaster.)

Very nice Congratulations. I like many IWC pilot watches launched this year. They did a great job.

Congratulations!

Based on looks alone I still prefer the 39mm 3706 chrono and the 42mm 3713 doppel-chrono. Then again these came w Valjoux-based movements whose rotor is loud - did I say LOUD - and it tends to move around your arm when winding (it should be the other way around LOL).

Agreed. The only thing that keeps me from the 3706 or the 3713 is those hands - I much prefer the newer style hands, and this new Spitfire is basically like a 3706 with the new hands.

But still, I think the 3713 is probably one of the best values to be had in horology today. I might just end up with one yet...

The new IWC Spitfire range this year look great. Congratulations! I'm keen to see the standard pilot's watch in the flesh, but am afraid I'll end up buying it if I do!

Stunning watch! What is the lug to lug length and your wrist size?
