The Amstrad had a built in tape deck, or floppy, which was cool but if you had a problem with it, whole computer was knackered.

Right. Better to leave that to the politicians. Successful business people couldn't possibly make good leaders.

That's really funny then. The guy is a billionaire so I'd imagine his computers would have been more popular. Guess not!

That's such a great word. I wonder what the guy did to make the other $999,995,000.

But then it would have a red strap and that would look silly.

I’d go out and buy a new Rolex from my AD today if Rolex replied back; ‘We have no idea who you are or what you’re referring to.’ And tag @dccomics and @marvelcomics for help.

It started here on this board. Think this thread is more about the Lord whatever guy than the timepiece. Welcome to the Sugar Party. :D

Back OT: Sounds like this Lord guy made the Lucas of computers? LOL!

Reading through this, I have 2 points to make. It’s a mass produced watch and I don’t blame him for not wanting to go to pay over retail. He’s a smart businessman but more importantly was smart enough to surround himself with smarter people.

All very good and very true points. It's just odd (and frankly, funny) that even a billionaire can't leverage a watch from an AD. I'd be curious how long ago he requested the watch and how long he's been waiting. There's more to the story that we don't know.

He'll surely find a watch using Twitter if he hasn't already. It's not everyday you see someone of great wealth or fame beg for help online for a material purchase.

There's also something to laugh about when The Joker pokes fun at a billionaire who can't get his hands on Batman.

it's not about the money, it's about their over inflated ego. they don't want somebody else sloppy seconds, they want to brag that they can get whatever they want, whenever they want based on their clout.

Thing is Lord Sugar has lots of Rolex watches already.

He always wears a different one in each episode of the Apprentice and must have already spent big money with AD's.

He must be an ideal customer and can see AD's falling over themselves for his patronage.

Struggling to understand how this personable celebrity billionaire cant source a watch.

You don't get to be a self made billionaire by paying double the retail price for stuff.
They never stop looking for a good deal

The comments on his tweet crack me up.
I like that his usual AD have told him no. I doubt he gets told no very often.

Laughable. I imagine his account was hacked. I can’t conceive that he’d post something so ludicrous onto Twitter. Unless he was drunk, perhaps!
