you are spot on....great to see your response to what is HANDS DOWN my favourite Rolex...although I did have the Daytona on today and I consistently gazed upon it
But----it is an awesome watch

Good Morning All,
Well after wearing this beast for over a week now, all I can say is it getter better and better. I can not stop looking it. One of the neat things about it is the ceramic bezel. When you look at it in certain light it seems like you are looking into and endless sea of black, no pun intended. As far as comfort, just as comfortable as my SD!!!! No problems with banging it, but I am very careful with it at this time, and probably forever. Can not count how many times I have been stopped for questions about it, which is kind of neat. This has the same attention grabbing qualities as my PAM-251, although its not getting much wrist time these days. Anyway, I stand on my original post that this truly is one of the BADDEST WATCHES on the planet right now. There may be more expensive, more intricate, and more prestigeous watches. But when the sum of all its parts are taken in while on the wrist, it is hard to find a nicer watch for the money right now!!!

beautiful watch! tried it on this past weekend but went with a V series SD instead. it looks great, clasp is awesome, wanted to get it but it is just so thick/tall. I also like to wear my watches a bit on the loose side which is harder to do with a watch of this weight. Still trying to convince myself otherwise. Enjoy it!

Congrats to the deepsea club. Gald you ignored all the negative comments on this watch. I loved it the moment I tried it on. It's more comfortable than my black ss daytona. Deepsea is my everyday watch.

Plastic surgeons should give men wrist jobs so they can put one of these on.

Nah, I prefer a hand job....but only from the females....

The watch wears very comfortable and is not too big

The first day I wore my DS, I thought it was too big. After that first day, I grew to love it. Now it's my daily watch. All my other Rolexes seem small in comparison.

Still shake my head at the "advertising" on the ring lock as if we wouldn't know that if we blunked down $9K. I think I can get past the writing on the ring locks as the watch is so beautiful.

Again congratulations and thanks for the meaningful post.

Update: Finally saw one at my AD, and purchased on Friday. The writing is a non-issue when seen in person. Thanks again for the post.

As far as the bracelet not matching the case....not a problem!! Do not really notice it at all, and due to the comfort of the watch, it is perfect as is!!! I think you are worrying about the wrong thing with this watch, and should be worrying about how fast you can get one to your door

Looks pretty damn good to me!!!!

The DSSD is an amazing piece of uber technological and engineering prowess by Rolex. I'm very proud and feel absolutely splendid and happy with this beast of a monster! One of the best purchases I ever made, PERIOD. BEST REGARDS

Congrats- and I agree with everything you said- I have had mine for 6 months now and it really is a comfortable watch to wear. Because of the tapered bracelet, it wears smaller than its dimensions would indicate. I am a professional who wears suits every day and it goes perfectly with business dress. And the "Original Gas...." wording is virtually invisible to me when wearing it, and it is totally invisible to people looking over at the watch

Thanks for the compliments guys/gals!! As far as being to big, make sure you try one on at an AD and leave on for a few minutes. I have a smaller wrist 6.75, and it feels perfect to me. When I try to wear my Explorer II, I feel like I am wearing a kids watch and invariably take it off and go with the DS. I was skeptical at first as well, but after six months now, it is my daily wearer, and will be until it goes to an RSC for servicing. I tried on a Sub-C a week or so ago, very nice watch, but just seemed like not enough there for the money like you get with the DSSD!! Oh, and my poor Panerai has not seen the light of day, due to the DS. Why did Rolex have to make this watch, it's just not fair to the others......

Have a Great Weekend Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
